Open Day – presentation delivered 17 June 09 at Radio City. Group felt attendance reflected the interest and support for the allotment group and feedback from the council had been positive. Discussion on future presentations in Beith, Gateside, Barmill & Dalry to lift profile further. Will progress following Leader update meeting on 24/08/09.

Marketing – Jon Davies setting up domain name (GVAA). Cost is circa £12. Jon is looking for IT support and ideas for the web site from new members.

Funding – AH has prepared and submitted application to Leader for funding. Progress meeting scheduled for 24/08/09.
Awards for All application is being developed, Audrey is looking for committee members to assist her with this. Also new members who are interested in assisting or who have skills in this area.

Business Plan – The group again looking for new members who have time and skills to develop business plans and finance. Please contact Jon Davies.

Allotment Area – NAC have issued letter of intent regarding GVAA leasing the allotment site. This plot is adjacent to Kilbirnie Golf Course, behind Newhouse Drive. The group are progressing soil tests, change of use but potentially the land is suitable for the proposed 90 allotment plots.

NAC – The council allotment working group are working behind the scenes to provide NAC with direction and guidance for this flagship allotment project. A model allotment site identified at Clydebank. Committee will make contact and see what can be adopted for GVAA.
